Default 8800 Keeps Freezing

Please Login to Remove!

Hi. I just got an 8800 from my employer. It is OS 4.5.0.69. As it's a work BB I have no options regarding changing the OS.

It keeps freezing on me. Everything freezes. If I call it the call goes straight to voice mail. The only way I can get it going again is to take out the battery.

Is there any way to solve this?

T-Mobile in the UK by the way.

Thanks.

GO to Options > Status and let us know what your file free is.

That is pretty low. If you pull the battery, what does it show?

You mean if I pull the battery and check the file free immediately after it boots up?

Also, do you have a media card installed in the device? If so, remove it and see if it helps with the freezing issue you're experiencing.

Your file free went down after a battery pull? That doesn't make too much sense.

What about the media card?

It does have a media card but I need access to the stuff on it. The freeze is intermittant so no guarentee that I will notice anything immediately I take it out.

I think that may be your issue.

Take a look here:

Thanks for the help. I've followed the instructions in the link you provided and will see how I get on. The media card was formatted under a different OS, so hopefully that was the issue.

Thanks again.
