Default Can i upgrade my unlocked 8800 BB?

i know i can, but, it will loose its "unlocking"? its on 4.2.1 and would like to take it to 4.5, is it posible? and if it loose its unlock what can i do? can i use the same code aggain?

Thanks on your help people, newbie on this stuff

No. You won't lose your unlock.

I new to this site and did not know where to post a question. So here we go. Can someone please help me with the upgrading process of an unlocked bb 8800. I'm currently running 4.2.?? and would like to upgrade to 4.5 I know the bb 8800 can run on this os. The phone was locked to Tim Brazil.

You need to contact a commercial unlocker, there is no one here who can unlock it for you. I use HorizonWirelessOnline.com - Horizon Wireless, The World’s Cellular Repair Center to do unlocks.

Follow the steps exactly.

Thanks to the person who helped me upgrade my bb 8800 to 4.5 os.
One more quick question. What is the latest os version that can be installed on a bb 8800?

Mustang, please use the SEARCH feature and also check the list of sections. You will notice that we have a Mac Users section.

Your questions can be easily answered if you at least try searching first.

As for the Mac Desktop Manager, maybe the RIM website would be the place to start?

Yes this could be possible. I have done it via through my service provider. My service provider is O2 and I have done it last month. You need to just contact the service provider.
