Default My 2nd Blackberry - A Green 7290!

Please Login to Remove!

Let me start by saying I love the 7290!

Last April I bought a custom blue 7290 at an electronics mart in Shanghai for about 50 USD. I loved that phone and used it for everything - email, web surfing, games, etc.

Anyway, my beloved "blue" 7290 was stolen the other day. I contemplated upgrading and went back to the same electronics mart. Once I saw my old 7290 in green, I knew I had to get it again.

I think that phone came over on the Mayflower lol. Even though that phone is older I guarantee you is probably works better than the phones today. Sometimes I think technology is too advanced for technology.

Unreal battery life on those older models. For simple email (text only), SMS, and phone calling they're still tought to beat.

I still have a few veterans using their beloved 7290's, they don't care about the new features - just need their emails and phone calls. I guees they also don't want to be bothered with learning a new device when the one they got serves the purpose.

I just had to set them up with fresh batteries & new holsters and they're set for another 3 years, or until anyone of the keyboard, trackwheel or USB port fail. Personally, I found the 8700 to be the toughest of them all. I have a few units in the storage cabinet for when the 7290's fail. at least they still get to use their trackwheels.
