Talking Is there a way to check the vzw.blackberry.net email from MY outlook?

Please Login to Remove!

there is a website that generates service tickets to me.... that site generates tickets via email to both my business and BB email accounts...

both my email accounts are setup on my BB so im getting duplicate emails in my bb which is very confusing since i have to open each message and decipher which is which by a work order number.

I would like to remove my business email from the site generating the tickets so all the tickets only go to @vzw.blackberry.net, but then i wont get my tickets in my dekstop pc's outlook.

Then i would configure my desktop's Outlook to poll the @vzw.blackberry.net email account for new mail......then i would ultimately get my tickets only once in outlook and once in my BB.

I know it sounds confusing but to make a long story short, i want to be able do download my @vzw.blackberry.net email from my desktops outlook.

Is it possible?

Is there something unique in the From or Subject part of the mail to your business account that is being sent to BIS that you can use to simply Filter only those messages straight into the trash so you don't get duplicates? That might be the easiest solution.

Why not do the opposite and remove your bb addy from your ticket generator?

Then you would get the tickets on your BB from your business account and on your outlook too with no duplicates. If you are forwarding your business account and not polling, the tickets would get to your BB almost instantly.

I don't use or publish my BB addy at all, I just forward my pop3 email to it and use my pop3 as the "sent from" on my bb, so the BB addy is almost invisible.

thanks for the replies-

Kurichan- unfortunately a filter wont work since i will need the rest of the incoming mail from my pop addressess

Mitch- the pop addresses are checked every 15 mins by my BB from my understanding whereas the BIS accout is almost realtime. Im in somewhat of a competition to reply fast to the tickets so its in my best interest to generate them to the BIS address.

That is how it generally works, but if you go to your mail server and forward your mail to the BB addy, then the pop3 mail is instant, too.

I know, because, I initially set up my account on the BIS and let it do the polling, I didn't know any better. Then I noticed on the FAQ here how to forward your mail instead of setting it up on the BIS. I initially set it up both ways and got 2 copies of my pop3 mail, about 15 minutes apart. Once I got it working, I went back into the BIS and deleted all my pop3 addys which also erased my "sent-from" addy. I had to go back in & add the "sent-from" back and have been a happy Instant receiver since
