Default 7250 Booting Error

Please Login to Remove!

My Blackberry 7250 from Sprint hung on me earlier today and I popped out the battery. Now when it is turned on, I get a Data Abort error with the option to reset it and it does this over and over. I've tried to reload via Desktop Manager with no success....

My only suggestion would be to wipe out the BB using Javaloader (search for it on the forum) and then try the reload. Javaloader will wipe out the OS and all data, so if you don't have a backup, you'll lose anything that was not synced recently.

I've tried this, but it fails since I get this error right after bootup so javaloader can't recognize the device as Windows recognizes it for about 2 seconds before the error shows up and then Windows disconnects it.

I am confused.
Javaloader should not care if Windows recognizes it.
Make sure that Desktop Manager is not started.

This is what I get:

C:\temp>javaloader -usb wipe
RIM Wireless Handheld Java Loader
Copyright 2001-2004 Research In Motion Limited
Connecting to device...Error: unable to open port

The BB is connected via USB cable.

Do you have any other software installed that is trying to use the USB port? I would try uninstalling Desktop Manager and rebooting.

Thanks. I tried it on a computer without BB Desktop and seemingly all is back in business....
