Default I can't delete

I haven't been able to delete e-mail messages on my Blackberry although I have deleted them on my computer. I have had these since May 3rd! Any ideas?

So you scroll to the message you want deleted from your bb, click on it, and choose "delete" and nothing happens? Please describe a little better what you have/have not done in trying to fix this problem so that we can try to help better....

Are you saying you can't delete any message from your BB handheld or just a few old ones? If it is "all", you eventually will run out of space and need to get it fixed before that happens.

Have you tried scrolling to a "Date" and click on the scrollbar and do a "delete prior" which will delete all email prior to the date you are on?

A corrupt message database can cause this. The easiest thing to do is plug the phone in, start the desktop manager, go into the backup/restore stuff go into the advanced options, select the message data base on the phone side and delete it.

Thanks so much! Finally got back to checking the forum, saw your note, tried it and it worked. I had tried every way to delete them and this worked. Thank you.
