Red face Globe symbol?

Please Login to Remove!

Hi everyone.

I have a really silly question for you all. I just got my 8700 today, and I was fiddling around with the Internet Browser, not the BB Browser or the Cingular browser, and I accidently hit Save Page. As soon as I did that a little globe with a "1" appeared next to the email icon at the top, and my LED started flashing red like I have a new message.

What the heck did I do, and how do I undo it?

Thanks,

Mike

Default That allows you to send the page as a message.

Enjoy the feature you found. Open the message and the icon will go away.

that indicates a browser message. I had the same problem on my 7100g. I don't know exactly how to read the message on the 8700c but you will need to open and more than likely delete the internet message and the globe will go away.

Default Save page vs send page

Sorry I responded too quickly before. All save page does is put an item in your message list which allows you to get back to that page really easily. If you want to send the page, you select Send Page not Save Page. It just makes finding it alot easier if its in your message list especially if its just to keep as a short reference point.

Ie a google local search in Seattle where you are visiting for the day. Don't need to bookmark but might want to keep your dinner reservation location and phone number handy.

Glad you enjoyed the tips.

Cool. Thanks. I see it in the messages application now.

Good example, BTW.
