Default 8830 Replacement Not Syncing, USB not recognized

Please Login to Remove!

I've had a Curve 8830 for about a year now. I use it for work and it has been syncing to Outlook for calendar and contacts and getting my work e-mail perfectly. Phone died and I got a replacement a few weeks ago. I'm still getting e-mail but can no longer sync the phone to Outlook. I've reinstalled the Desktop Manager 5.0.1 at least 6 times. The first time I load DM it recognizes the phone. I set up the sync options and sync. Once it gets ready to dump to the phone the DM crashes and closes. When I open DM again it no longer recognizes the phone. I reboot my computer and still DM does not recognize te phone. I also get an error, "USB Device Not Recognized".

I've uninstalled and then reinstalled the software 6 times with the same exact result (Phone is recognized until DM crashes). I then removed DM 5.0.1 and installed version 4.7 but with the same results as above.

I've also removed the battery and reset the phone. All to no avail.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
