Ok, I have spent over a week with Cingular on the phone. I have also been doing some research on the 3rd party apps, one of them being Verichat for multiple IM Ids.
Here is what I found, the information posted on here about the APN info was great! thanks to all for that info. If someone would tell Cingular that would be great. So one of the Cingular BB Call Center reps told me that the BB can't use the WAP gateway and that he was not sure why it was enabled but he was going to disable it. I told him no.
Also go directly to the BB Call Center, I agree with the other post, the Cingular Customer service people have NO idea. They want to charge you for the WAP option. I was not charged and the BB call center person told me that option should have been turned on.
NOW MY ISSUE:
When you go to Setting, Options, TCP I enter the APN information for Cingular and it works.
Ok, but no one call tell me, Cingualr or BB, why the AP info clears it's self out once a day. BB tells me it's not a defective device, they have heard of this from 3rd party apps.
In real words: They have no idea or it's a bug. Any ideas out there.
I goal is to get a stable IM app running and not sure Verichat is the right product?
I use BES with 4.02 OS of BB since Cingular does not support the 4.1 version yet.
Any help would be great.
