Default switched to 7280 and it won't allow calls

Please Login to Remove!

I currently have a 6280 it was bought second hand and everything works on it. I recently bought a 7280 second hand. I switched my sim card to the 7280 and everything looks fine. It states that I have a signal and shows the network is available. When I go to make a call it says that only emergency calls are only allowed. I am an old at&t customer that hasn't switched to cingular yet. Both blackberry's are from the at&t era. I called cingular they were no help at all. They said I needed a data plan, which wouldn't matter for the phone to work. I took it to the cingular store and they had no clue. I had one of them put a cingular sim in it just to see and the phone said invalid sim. Any help would be great

Default Chech this....

Hey, Did you buy it from Ebay? You have to be careful buying them off Ebay because sometimes they have an IT policy on them which makes them somewhat useless for individual use. Check to see if it has an IT policy on it. You can check this by going into options->security-> look to see if any IT policy is listed at the bottom. IF there is a IT policy then you can try to send back if an option or pray that some nice person here will send you a blank default policy. You might not get the blank policy as I have tried and not gotten a response like many others here. Hope this helps.
