just moved to this device from a 7520 and i use Autotext like crazy - 300+ of my own, in fact... one of my most favorite ones to use is the letter "u" for "you".....its not that easy on the 7100 so i was wondering if anyone had any suggestions? i was thinking maybe using "ii" instead of "u"......anyone have a better suggestion?

That's gonna be tough. Whenever you press the u/i key, it's going to try and put in a capitalized 'I,' but the wordlist at the bottom will show the lower case 'u.'. You'll have to use the trackwheel evet time to select the 'u.'

yahtzee, I found that if you turn the backlight on 100% (press the power button briefly while the screen is on to automatically scroll through screen settings--off, regular, and full), you can see the screen much better, even in sunlight. You should really stick with it a bit longer....I found suretype to be a bit strange at first, and it took me about a week to get used to it to where I felt really comfortable. Now I have trouble figuring out how to type on my 7520!!!
