Default Does Any One Else Have This OEM Case Issue?

Please Login to Remove!

I've been noticing that when I put the 7130e in it's OEM holster type case, it depresses the middle bookmarks button between the send and end keys. Although I don't think this is a problem it's weirds me out a little. I work in a RF sheilded building and have to turn my wireless off, as soon as I enter. Sometimes I forget to turn the wireless off now how far off of being connected to the web am I? Especially if the signal or network strength is good. When I take the BB out of the holster the bookmarks page is active and when I hit the ESC key it asks me if I want to exit the browser. This was the scary part, cause I dont' have one of the unlimited internet packages on my BB. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance for helping a newb.

Why not lock your devices keyboard when you holster it? Press and hold the "*" key for about 2-3 seconds....

Yeah that could work. I guess there isn't the same pressure point with the other cases or holsters. Maybe that's a better option. I'll try the keyboard lock trick, thanx.

Well I'm still waiting for my first bill, so we'll see what it's doing then.

Verizon sells a leather swivel case (in most stores). Or you could get one from shopblackberry.com I tossed the casethat came with the 7130 as soon as I got a leather case from RIM.

I'm still looking for a good case for my 7105t. I think I'd prefer a sideways one instead of the upright - but so far I've not had a chance to actually look at them. I've seen some reviews of cases but most seem to be upright.

On your BB, go to options, security and set your handheld to lock on holstering.

Great idea for sure. Thanks for the tip. I found out how to disable the convenience key. Thanks everyone for the help.
