i cannot find a pic of the 7100G on the net of the back of the unit. i wanted to compare a pic with mine. the silver strip on the back of mine is crooked and you can see a little bit of the screw hole. wanted to see if this was intentional to get the strip off easy if you ever needed to get the housing off. also a question is that strip easy or hard to get off?

ah yes, i have open the sliver strip behind the phone, there are two screws behind the strip to open the housing. it's a bit tacky, they ``glued'' it with double-sided adhesive tape! cheap. i changed my housing from silber 7100g to black 7100x, black is so cool.
my trouble begins as the silver strip won't stick back to its original condition, so i used a tiny drop of super-elephant glue on both ends to keep the edges down! blur...
