Default manually download email

Hi,
I am new to this forum, so pls forgive any omissions to the forum rules.
I am thinking of getting a 7100 to use it as just a PDA/Organizer. Therefore I do not plan to get the data plan.
However I would like to occasionally download unread email from my PC (Outlook) to the BB (for example when I intend to be offline for a few hours). So, the question is, can I download email onto the BB using the USB connection without subscribing to the data plan?

Any advice would be much appreciated.

Hi and welcome.
Unfortunately there is no way to get e-mail at all to a BB without subscribing to a BlackBerry Data Plan.

Why can't he synch his inbox with the desktop manager software?

It doesn't work that way. DM does not sync the Inbox. It syncs Contacts, Notes, tasks and calendar. Not the Inbox.

Thanks for your replies!

Do you know if there is any third-party software that might be able to sync the Inbox as well?
