I wanted to check with the folks here before I did this. My work is providing me with a phone...verizon. I'll be forced on selling my 8700c off, probably via ebay. What are all the steps I need to go through to ensure everything is deactivated and removed, via the blackberry webclient, as well as deleted from the phone itself? Thanks in advance for the help here.
1. Options_Advanced Options-->Security-->Wipe HandHeld
2. Ask provider to delete the BIS account and RELEASE the PIN and make sure they release it on Blackberry.net network because thats where PIN number makes sense. your provider does not use PIN, Their system ok with SIM# and IMEI#

I don't follow. I don't see "advanced options" in the options menu of my 8700c or in the blackberry desktop application. Anyone know how to do a hard reset that wipes the berry?

Actually on the 8700 it's under options------security options-----general settings-----wheel click-----wipe handheld
