Default Sent e-mail question

Please Login to Remove!

A few of us here at work got new 7100g units. Now it doesn't really bother me, but my co-worker does not want sent messages being saved in his in-box on the handheld (the message with the check next to it). He went to the "help" option, and it told him to go to "e-mail settings" and then set the "save copy in sent folder" to yes. Issues (1) the Messages Options only has two choices: General Options (which doesn't appear to help) and Email Reconciliation. If he goes to the home page, clicks "settings" and then "options", there still is no "email settings" choice.

Can anyone tell us how to program teh unit so that when a message is sent, it doesn't appear in the InBox, but instead is stored in a sent message folder?

Thanks

There is no sent messages folder on the Blackberry. all incoming and outgoing messages stay on the same place. The option you are referring to is that when you send a message from the BB, by default it saves a copy in your sent items folder on your outlook. You can turn that off but you will still see the message on the blackberry, right there with the incoming emails. No way to get away from that. Now, there is a filter you can do that will allow you to see incoming email and outgoing email but I don't think it works on the 7100 units.

Try going to the general options tab and where it says hide sent messages change the option to yes.
Hope that helps!
