Default Wired Headset Question

Please Login to Remove!

Ok so on my 7100g when I had my OEM headset plugged into the phone when I got a call I would get a little chrip on my earpiece in addition to the ringtone to let me know there is an incoming call. Likewise while on a call I could hear the call waiting tone in the earpiece letting me know there was a call coming in. Now on the 8700 I do not hear any tones in the earpiece.......is this standard?

Thanks for answering......

Same here except I have the 8700r. I just don't think the 8700 series does that so it's something I've learned to deal with. I use my BT headset more anyways so now I don't even care about the wired one I've accecpted it; I'm just glad my BT headset beeps.

Which BT headset do you have? And you're saying it beeps for incoming calls when you are in another call? How about a beep for an event reminder when in a call?

I only use my BT headset in the car and my calender and tasks always go off when I am in the office. BT headset wise I have like 9 of them but I always use my Jabra or Plantronics with my BlackBerry.

I use the Moto HS850, and I get beeps in the ear when a call comes up, as well.
