Default New to BB7100..have some questions

Please Login to Remove!

I just bought a used but great conditioned BB. It was a 7100G to be exact. I unlocked it, and now here goes my questions. I want email and internet access. Do i call T mobile and set up my e mail features and internet options, and will they work on this BB? Also, what is the latest OS for my phone, and how do I download it? Thanks.

I forgot to ask, seeing as I Unlocked a 7100g, do I get the Cingular OS upgrade for it, or the T mobile OS upgrade? Thanks.

Yes, call T-Mobile and they should set you up with a voice and BB plan. If you already have a voice plan then all would be needed is the BB service.
As far as them giving you some training... well good luck on that one. Try and see if you can buy a user manuel, which would be helpful.
Software for the unit could be checked at Blackberry.com - just find software and go from there maybe even T-Mobile could do it but if they do their will possible be s charge.
To do it yourself you will need the Blackberry Desktop Software Disk to load on to your computer and you will have to go to Blackberry's web site, again go to software downloads and look for your model. You could download the desk top software as well as the newest handheld version. Install the BB DTSoftware to your computer and get you cable plugged up to your computer and BB. Once thats done then you must go into application loader and reload the software or you would really be updating it.
