Delayed Bluetooth Connection?

Searched the posts, sorry if this has been covered, couldn't find it.

I've linked my 8700c to 3 different Bluetooth headsets and my Acura MDX (HandsFreeLink).

They all behave the same in that -

The bluetooth headsets do not allow me to hear anything until the call is actually connected (you cannot hear it ringing), only after someone/voicemail/answering machine picks up can I hear anything. On my MDX, I cannot transfer the call to the HandsFreeLink until the call is actually connected. If I attempt to "transfer" the call to HandsFeeeLink" prior to the call being connected I get a "there is no call in progress" message.

This was not the case with my 7290, I could hear and/or transfer to HFL while the outbound call was ringing.

My only conclusion is that the 8700 Bluetooth profile needs tweaking.

Thanks,
Todd

Hey Todd, I was having similar issues with the headset, actually mine wouldn't reconnect to the headset at all. I ended up exchanging my Blackberry, and so far (fingers crossed) its working pretty good.

If you have trusted set to yes and this is happening you have a defective unit. Go exchange it.
