Default Lost Browser

Please Login to Remove!

On my Cingular 8700c, I noticed today that I had lost both browsers from my main screen. I did a service book resend and an Internet Service Book resend and got the Blackberry browser back. Still missing thr Cingular browser. Not so sure I really need it, but I had it before.

Any ideas as to what is going on? I haven't changed my service at all. I changed themes and then they wuz gone.

I had the same problem(s) after removing eWorks, since it causes my 8700c to freeze. But that's another story and Dynoplex support is working on it. Anyway, here is how to restore your browsers, compliments of Cingular tech support:

Make sure you have sufficient signal.

Scroll to Options icon and press Select (push in the track wheel).

Scroll to Advanced Options and press Select.

Scroll to Host Routing Table and press Select.

The HTR Editor screen will display several Cingular network codes. Leave the first one highlighted, press Select, select Register Now and press Select. My browsers restored in less than a minute, ymmv. Good luck.
