Unhappy 7290 Sync with MS Outlook

Please Login to Remove!

BlackBerry newbie here - just got the baby up and running and hit a few snags already.

Got the desktop software synchronising (or so it says), by there is no content being copied from Outlook Calanders / Contacts etc at all, over to the BB.

I believe I have configured it OK but no transfer! Have I missed a step?

Seems like there is a lot of help for those using Wireless transfer but virtually nothing (I can easily find) on the basic PIM set-up and transfer!

Any suggestions appreciated.

Cheers

Fraterdominatio,

(I've seen this happen before) Please verify the checkbox next to "Synchronize PIM" is checked before you hit the "Synchronize Now" button in Intellisync in Desktop Manager.

You might also verify that the settings in the "Configure PIM" area are all looking at the correct Profile/folder in Outlook... you can verify this by looking at the bottom of the window and checking the folder - If it doesn't look correct, then click on the Choose, then Browse buttons... to verify the folders are all set correctly.

Hope that helps. If you need more help, or detailed step-by-step directions, please check out my ebooks - here's a coupon for 10% OFF the $24.99 list price: 60112D58
(The discount only works on the ebooks, not books, videos or training)

Just enter the code at the bottom of the shopping cart and click UPDATE cart to make sure it's applied!

Good luck!
Martin

Does the book include anything that doesn't come in the owner's manual?

The Sync is pretty easy, maybe I missed a few minor things, but it generally goes like:

1) Install DM as non-intellisync version
2) Connect BB via USB
3) Open DM and do a "sync Now"
