Default Unknown icon on 7130e

I am trying to figure out what a particular icon/status indicator is on my 7130e from Verizon.

In the BB Insight-Icon theme the icon has a square with the top right hand corner turned down and a down arrow in the middle of it with a number to the left of the square (the square looks similar to the icons on photo copy machines telling you whether to lay the paper up or down in the feeder). The icon sits above the time/date stamp just right of the middle of the screen.

In the Verizon theme the icon sits below the time/date stamp and has a white outline of a circle with something in the middle (what it is I cant figure out) and a number to the left of the circle.

Any thoughts? I cant find it any documentation.

I'm stumped. I tried setting a task with a due date, a reminder, a note, and received some e-mail, but I never get an icon like you describe. Let us know if you figure it out. It would be a pain, but you could take a photo and post it on the Web where we could view it. Sorry I'm no help.

Found a BB icon page at http://www.businessonthego1.com/engl...onglossary.asp but none seem like the one you describe.

That same icon/status indicator shows up on my 7130e and I've been trying to find an answer. I spent 1/2 hour at the Verizon store and nobody new what it was. I spent almost an hour on the phone with Verizon and they were completely stumped. They suggested calling Blackberry support directly. However, I've lost the number. I also tried to snap a digital image of the screen but the quality is too poor to make anything out.

I think that I may have figured it out. I had signed up for a Push Service of weather through the Blackberry browser's home page. I think that the symbol is for a piece of content that has been delivered. Let me know if others can verify it. I was able to get rid of the icon and it hasnt reappeared but I havent turned off the Push Service.

On my 7105t I got the yellow folder with the number 1 next to it and after looking for messages (didn't clear it up) I opened up Blackberry messenger and found a conversation started. As soon as I opened the discussion the icon disappeared.

Hope this helps. I know it bugged me for a day or so.

It is for the PUSH service....you are correct. Once you use the Push service (such as checking the updated weather) the icon will go away.
