Unhappy 7130e stops booting, suggestions?

My first day as a Verizon customer didn't go well. After getting "Data Connection Refused" and going through the request soft reset they wanted me to do the 'erase' function. Kicked it off and after ~one hour it didn't come back. He had me pop out the battery and try to get the desktop software to push the device software back on. It recognizes the PIN but never gets past 'Connecting to JVM'...

Since Verizon is requesting I ship it back, re-order through my corporate portal, etc. and thus delaying my cell/BB for another week or more, I thought I'd post here for suggestions before shipping it off in the next day or two.

Thoughts? Is there some magic I can do? It just starts, blinks a continuous fast red light, and the hourglass turns and turns and turns. -Pk

The conclusion at the end of the day was that is the Desktop Manager and an Application Reload wouldn't even start then this Blackberry was beyond saving 'at home' so a replacement was absolutely neccesary. Oh well. -Pk

Did you use javaloader to wipe it completely to as new status and then send the newest handheld software to it? If all you did was try to reload it without wiping it first, you really did not get rid of the problem to begin with.

After the failed 'erase' operation the device doesn't even get far enough to allow application loader to do a wipe of old application data. It literally won't even get connected to Desktop Manager anymore. -Pk
