Default Can the 7100t be used as a phone without a BB plan from Tmob

I have a 7230 Tmob. Love it. My girlfriend doesnt need a BB but wants to upgrade her phone. She has been doing alot of text msgs and wants to sync with her computer. SHe likes the look of the 7100t.

I was wondering if you can get this phone w/o BB plan.
will the syncing and SMS work the same?

Any input or advise

Thanks in advance

Yes, it will sync and SMS will work just fine. WAP and browsing will not work, and she won't be able to send or receive email, but other than that it'll be fine.

I believe the t-zones pro will allow that feature.

I was told by my TMO rep that you could activate Tzones without getting into the Blackberry plans.

It would work like any of the other tmo phones.

Though, why not get a standard phone that you can get browsing etc and also a camera and a smaller form factor?

just my 2cents worth

it might be better to add the standard bberry plan which gives you unlimited text messaging. My wife got that plan for 59 a month which gives her unlimited email/sms/and browsing as well as 1000 anytime minutes.

how much are you paying/going to pay for the regular service?
