Default Is received volume better than 7290?

Please Login to Remove!

I'm still cursing my 7290 and the level of received volume.
T-Mobile have trained monkeys on phone support who cannot comprehend problem.

Thinking of going straight to Cingular and get an 8700 but I need to know...

Will the 8700 give me better earphone output levels? I'm reading about dust etc. and I'm worried about it. Lastly - if I send in a new phone for service and I got a refurb back I'd sue. I didn't send in a refurb so I wouldn't want one back.

The 8700c is far better than the 7290 in all respects (except toughness) including the volume of calls using the ear piece. The 7290 for me worked well with the wired headset as does the 8700. So yes, you'll see a big improvement.

No dust problems for me at this point, using the phone since December. Personally I wouldn't care if I received a refurb as long as the screen wasn't scratched. It's a phone and probably will be replaced in a year.

Seems a tad better than my 7100i. Been using a Moto HS850 with it and that has been a great device.

My 8700 is much better than the 7290 for calls. I got constant complaints about the 7290 on the other end and I had issues hearing them too, but have only had one complaint about the 8700, just yesterday and I have had it since last November.

Default Thanks......more>>>>>>>>>>

I wonder if TMO will support it (just in case they try something funny with my plan). I'm also wondering where's the best place to get one. I'm going to need two as my wife suffers the same problems with her 7290. Lastly, what am I going to do with two 7290s that are less than a year old?
Sigh...
