Default Newbie - 2 questions, please HELP!!!

Hello all thinking about traking the Blackberry plunge, but have two major concerns:

1. How does spam get handled? My POP account e-mail goes through a spam filter (Norton) that is istalled on my computer, if f I am forwarding this account to my blackberry will I get the spam as well or will it be filtered? The filter is NOT on a server but is simply on my computer.

2. If I take the SIM card out from my blackberry and temporarily use it in another non data phone (simply for talking) what happens to my e-mail? Does it sit "in que" until I am able to connect with a data device? or does it get bounced back to the sender as undeliverable?

Any help on the above would be greatly appreciated, I am thinking of picking up a unit in the next few days, but am having second thoughts due to the above.

Thanks.

Spam depends on how you set up your blackberry service...

If your a single user and use the BB WebClient to retreive you POP mail then whatever you would receive in your outlook is what your going to get on the BB. So if your spam filter is at the ISP level then your're good to go.

You can take your SIM to another phone as you suggest... no problem. once the SIM is back in the BB it it's running you will begin to get your emails again as they are store on the BB WebClient unitl your device is active.(Assuming youre using the webclient). Much the same if youre using the Enterprise server... the email stays at the Exchange server unitl your device is able to receive it.
