You can only use the USB cable to tether the 7130e on Verizon. You will also need the VZAccess software that came on the CD or download it from dts.vzw.com

You also need to have tethering enabled on your account ($15.00/month in addition to the $44.95 data plan).

Sounds very simple? Have you tethered? Does it work well?

Default 7130e Tethering

I have a 7130e as well and have used the tethering capability several times. I have had no trouble connecting and stayed connected for about an hour the last time with no interruption in service. I think this is a very cool service, especially if you are a person that travels. If you are currently paying $80 per month for a Verizon aircard, the tethering is a much cheaper solution!

Good luck to you.

I wish it worked. Error message:

Access was denied because the username and/or password was invalid on the domain.

Any advice?

You need to have tethering added to your account (as I mentioned earlier). This error indicates it is not on your account. Call VZW.
