Default HELP: Calendar Issue

Please Login to Remove!

I'm having a problem with the 8700c scheduling function and need your advice. I'm told that I can change the start time for an appointment in the calendar from, let's say, 10:00 to 10:15 by holding down the shift key and clicking the trackwheel, and then scrolling the trackwheel 1 click to change 10:00 to 10:15. But when I do that it just brings up the drop down menu of options.
Am I doing something wrong or is that simply the wrong shortcut?
What do YOU do to do this?
Thank you in advance.

For changing times within the appointment itself, just scroll to the hour or minute you wish to change and type in the new numerical value from the keyboard. So in your case you would highlight the :00 and type 15 on the keyboard. Easiest way to change it and can be done with one hand.

Thanks, but that isn't working. For clarity, the problem is when I am in the "day" field, where it lists the hours from 9:00 to 5:00, I can't alter the start time of an appointment from the default hour, like from 10:00 to 10:15.
How do you do that from the same screen?
Thanks again

I have not heard of the shortcut you described. I think you have to open the appointment to modify it in anyway.

You have to open it on the :00 and use your trackwheel.

It DOES work indeed, you are just making a small mistake...you use the ALT key in the TIME field...when on the HOUR portion, it'll move up or down an hour at a time, when in the minutes field, it'll move up and down by 15 minute increments. Same thing applies for all the other fields...

EDIT: I forgot to mention...you have to be in the actual appointment page, not on a view.

That is true, but I think he described that he wanted a shortcut from that "Day View" screen, in which case i have not heard of a shortcut

And you would be right in that case, I just wan't sure if that's what he was referring to.

Thanks for the feedback. My misunderstanding arose from the Blackberry Made Simple video which expressly shows this short cut. I emailed the author, but never heard back from him.

I never got a video, What a rip off. I am going to write a very stern letter.
