I have a co-worker with a BB 7100g and it's connected to our Blackberry Enterprise 4.0 Server for Exchange.

I can not for the life of me get it to sync with the Calendar in his exchange account. The contacts and email sync just fine both ways, but the calendar won't sync either way UNLESS I go through the Enterprise Activation with him again.

Are there any known issues or any thing I need to specifically look for within the Blackberry Manager?


It's my impression, and of course I may be incorrect, that the calendar is synced each way automatically since you can't configure that wiithin the user properties in the Blackberry Manager. You can, however, configure tasks, messages, memos, address book, etc.

Any solutions?

I know the 7510 and the 7520 have the option to turn-on or off the wireless sync from the handheld. Have you checked if that option has been set to on.

Is it a universal setting that affects everything it can get from an Exchange Server (ie Mail, Calendar, etc)? If so, why would some work and others not work?

This totally baffles me. Any other thoughts on this?

We're having similar issues, but ours is more random and we believe it's down to persmissions on the outlook mailbox.

Might be an idea to check there, or even recreate the mailbox to see if that fixes the issue.

The user says he can turn Wireless OFF and then back ON and it will resync everything including the Calendar. But get this...

He can remove something on his desktop machine and it doesn't remove it from the Blackberry. BUT if he removes it from the Blackberry, it removes it from the desktop computer (from the server, obviously). Makes no sense.
