Default Browser not recognizing that I am using a blackberry?

Please Login to Remove!

I am using a Blackberry 8700c (cingular) and I am noticing some strange things:

1. If I go to 'Pictures' and choose 'download pictures', it brings me to a page that says it is only made for color blackberrys running newer software than 3.8

2. If I go to the browser and try to go to: http://mobile.blackberry.com, I am brought to a page that says:

The Blackberry Help! website is designed for use with the blackberry browser. Fore more information about Blackberry visit www.blackberry.com.

This is not a major issue, but I would like to be able to use the site to get a couple of themes that I read about being on that site.

Thanks,

Rich Foreman

BB has a few browsers in it's OS...one is the BB browser which is usually associated with a BES, then you may have the provider's WAP browser, which is for WAP browsing and then you might have the "Internet browser". I suspect that you did not use the BB Browser, for which that site is intended for and that's why you got that message. Certain browsers appear depending on the carrier and the application. I believe that RIM custom builds browsers for most of the carriers and these are sometimes WAP browsers...thats likely the browser you used when you accessed the site.

The only browser I have 'showing' on my home screen is the Blackberry Browser. I have the cingular browser hidden.
