Default Help: move contacts if mini usb broken?!

Please Login to Remove!

Hi

The usb connection on my BB is broken - so cant recharge / connect to desktop.

Had new replacement BB arrive today - but i noticed on my broken model that all my contacts are still shown in the phone (despite the sim card being in another nokia handset)? When i put the sim in the new BB the contacts are empty.

So how do i transfer over the contacts (from old to new BB) that i have built up on my old BB before i send it back....and i cant use the usb connnection to try and do this via the desktop tool?!

Sorry - im a BB day-to-day user, not an expert or administrator and im totally confused on what i need to do next to fix?!

The BlackBerry uses the SIM as read-only. Your contacts were never on it. Did you ever make a backup on your BlackBerry? You can perform a selective restore of just the address book. Do you have a BIS account that allows you to save your contacts on the web? Are you contacts synced into your email client? You can sync you new BlackBerry with the email client and suck them down. If none of these are true, then you will have to retype your contacts into your new BlackBerry.
