Default 7105T Issues - New User

Hi. I am a new Blackberry user using Outlook (Enterprise server) and have the following issues:

- Initially I was getting the same email delivered twice for every email that came to my inbox. My in-house IT person did something and now I am getting each email only once. However, I have the following issues:

-The blackberry and the desktop never sync. I have read and delete each email from both the blackberry and the desktop. The calendar and address book have synced. My IT person says this is how blackberry works. I do not believe that.

- I cannot send any emails out - keeps getting the following message "No message services configured. You will only be able to save a draft".

Please let me know if you know how to resolve these issues.

I am in IT and I can confirm that your IT person doesn't know what he/she is talking about.

To sync you BB and desktop, check you email reconciliation settings. In the email app, open the menu & go to Options>>Email Reconciliation. Make sure the Wireless Reconciliation is ON. Also pick which option to handle conflicts - Mailbox (Outlook) or Handheld (BB).

Not sure about your second issue...

Looks like your Blackberry is not fully setup on the BES side. ARe you using an in-house BES or somebody is hosting it for you?

You can have your IT guy re-send you the "Service Book" from BES. He/she should know what that is. That should (typically) fix the wireless sync problem.
