Default Nextel 7100i and AOL IM Forwarding

Please Login to Remove!

does anyone use AOL's IM forwarding feature instead of one of the stand alone AIM apps? I am able to receive the IM's on my phone but I cannot respond. Does anyone know what needs to be done? I do have two way MMS. Nextel CSRs were not able to offer any assistance.

Thanks Mike

Default Life just got better...

As far as I can tell, you're now in luck and should soon be in full body glee. As of this morning, (Thursday, 03-16), I am able to now respond directly to AOL IMs sent as a result of being forwarded to my Nextel 7100i.

It'll appear as a specified 6-digit number as the sender, but the text of the message will be preceded with "AOL IM From [ScreenName]:" and if I click on reply, my message is sent as a direct response back to the original sender's IM, into that IM window.

This has never been possible before with Nextel. And now it is.

Can I get a Hallelujah? I'm loving it.

Ramble works great now, i can send and receive IMs now, is there anyway to keep Ramble running on the back ground and prompt me when a someone IM me?, or do i need to re-connect everytime i get out of the buddies screen?
