I get roughly 40 emails a day. I let them pile up and check the ones I think I might need on the go. Over a few days I'll have well over 100 new messages, all of which I've read on my Mac email client.

Problem: It takes way too long to highlight multiple messages and mark them opened, or delete them. My phone usually crashes when I hold down the #/aA button and just give the wheel a spin (much more than the current messages displayed on screen).

Any way to have a 7100t deleate all messages over a week old? Any way to Select All??

As you scroll thru the messages they are separted by a date line. Highlight that date line, click the wheel, and click Delete Prior from the menu. That will delete all messages prior to that date. This will NOT go back and delete in your email client, though....

In addition to the advice above, which deletes all messages prior to the date hilighted. you can also select blocks of messages to delete by hilighting a starting point, press and hold the shift key and scroll the wheel either up or down to select additional messages. Once the block is selected, release the shift key, click the thumbwheel and select "delete" to delete the selected items.
