Default Javascript problems on a 7100i

My roommate just [very unneededly] went out and got a 7100i. Now, of course, he has absolutely no idea how to use the thing, so I'm supposed to figure all these things out for him.

He can connect to the page and most others using javascript, but when he tried to check his school e-mail, he keeps getting a javascript error.

The site in question is I'm trying to find out if they've just got simple SMTP/POP3 access, but somehow I doubt it.

The error page that comes up mentions javascript not being turned on (which isn't the case) or using a browser that doesn't support javascript (also not the case). I'm thinking that maybe the site does a browser check and that the Blackberry browser (even when emulating IE) isn't recognized and thus the site won't let him in.

Any ideas on what, if anything, can be done to get that to work on his Berry?

ive never been able to check my school email from my blackberry...but I do have it forwarded to my blackberry...

maybe your roommate should do all his own research especially before purchasing a phone...has he even set up his webclient? maybe he should do that and then set up all his email accounts to forward to his blackberry....

We dont check email on our is sent directly to the phone thats the whole point behind the blackberry
Searching for a new blackberry......I just cant stay away.
