Default Is Notifire fully supported on the 8700

My need is actually pretty simple.

I would like to have my 8700 remind me if I have missed an SMS or voice mail. Notification of email is not important for me. I would like it to play a sound (not really a song) and then pause for a number of minutes, and then play the sound again, until I ack the SMS or voice mail.

I have been messing with message alert (web messanger) and it does pretty much what I want it to do, but I have 2 problems with it.
1. The default tones are way to soft, and I have not yet figured how to get louder ones loaded.
2. It does not obey the profile setting (if using vibrate, the recurring alert will play the tone AND vibrate). I found this out this AM at Church. Also, if I us the mute for xx minutes, or mute all, it does not seem to have any affect.

I started looking for a better solution and found Notifire. I have search thru the forum and dont really find much related to the 8700. Anyone know if it is fully supported? I downloaded the trial, and followed the directions to disable the BB defaults in the profiles, but I can not get any recurring alerts to work at all. It also seems to support the flashing red LED correctly either.

Interesting. My 8700c obeys the profiles... What load are you running? I am using Vodafone 4.1.0.211 package.

They're getting close, they have a global alert that will stay on the screen until you hit a button. If only someone will come out with a 3 to 5 minute continuos alert...
