Default Changing Battery 7130 vzw

Please Login to Remove!

I have the 7130 from vzw and have a couple of questions about the battery. If the battery gets very low and I do noty have the opportunity to charge for a bit, will I be notified on the bb that I will lose all the data? And, second, if I change to the extended battery, is there a reasonable time period (a couple of minutes) where there is no external battery that the data is still saved? Thanks.

Wirelessly posted (7250/4.0.0.204: BlackBerry7250/4.1.0 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 VendorID/109)

You will not lose data by removing the battery for any length of time. Data storage is not dependent on having live power to the unit.

Not 100% accurate; you are correct that data stored will not be impacted by a battery dying, but anything you are working on, like editing an address or typing an e-mail, would be lost.

I blieve that the battery on the 7130 changes color when the battery is low. Not 100% sure, but I think there is a battery low indicator on it.

On low battery , the battery icon is outlined in red and the main screen gives a low battery message at the top. Its pretty hard to miss.

I recommend the extended battery for the 7130e. It has the shortest battery life of any BB

I have not seen an extended battery listed for the Verizon 7130e yet, if you have please pass the link along.
