Default 8700 turns on when I have appointments

Please Login to Remove!

Guys, wondering if you can assist. My 8700 is fine but one of our executives has an issue that I cannot resolve. Its probably something stupid but I can't figure it out.

Problem:
Executive sets an alarm clock for tomorrow 6:45 am
He has an appointment at 8pm tonight
Now he decides to turn off the RIM at 5pm tonight, the RIM will state that it will turn on 7:45pm (15 minutes prior to the meeting). On my RIM it says it will turn on at 6:45am.

So there is something on his RIM that turns it on before a meeting. Actually for me thats a great thing but he doesn't want that happening to his RIM.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

Default

In the meeting request on the Blackberry set the Reminder to "none".

Default is 15 mins. The device should only turn on then once the alarm is activated. The downside is that the user will not get notified of the meeting.

It used to work fine on the 7290.

See even if I set it to none, same thing. On my RIM (8700r as well) I have a reminder set at 15 minutes for a meeting coming up at 1:30 and my alarm is set for 6:45am. If I try turning off my RIM now, it tells me that it will turn on at 6:45am. So I don't think the reminder is relevant. Its got to be something different on his BB than mine. They were both new and activated at the same time.

Thank you for your response.
