Default No Email Access 4 Cingular for Pay as You go?

Please Login to Remove!

Hi All, thanks in advance for your time, I picked up a 7290 for my Son who is on "Pay as you Go" Plan,The 2 phones on this plan he has had previously both got Email and Browsed fine. I called 611 as was told that Pay as you go was not allowed to access email and could not have access for any amount of Coin with that Plan. I was then told IF I wanted to sync with a PC that the port on the Berry I needed was "A Squarish Round Circle Thing" This Girl did not have a clue. I live in Vegas and the Actual Error is "Network is Down Try Later or Call Provider if this Persists" Anyone ever deal with this. The Phone was purchased Off Ebay for the Sum of 71.00 and was quite a score,I would just like for him to be able to access Text based Email Messages as we have done with both the Sony-Ericcson & Motorola Phones he had on the Same plan before....Thanks,Vegas

You would not be able to have push email or email directly delivered to device, but you can surf the net and retreive your email by logging in to your email server, "www.yahoo.com" or such. To sync your device to a pc you would need a usb cable. Your best bet on finding one is an accessory store or the internet.

Thanks for responding, I bought a USB to 5pin (digital camera cable). My PC sees the phone Ok but the Software (4.02 I think) is asking for com port addys only? SO I can never use the text based email I enjoyed with my "basic" phones? That blows bigtime,I mean It's my dough,If I want to spend whatever for every 3k download, why would I not be able to,I don't get it I guess,Thank You for answering Anyways,Vegas
