Default 7100 as USB Modem for Mac's ??

Ive searched these forums as well as other mobile forums for any information regarding modem connectivity with a Mac laptop and have found little information. In these forums ive read posts which claim that the 7100 can only be used as a USB modem if desktop manager is running, and since Mac does not have a compatible alternative then it seems hopeless.

I have however read articles dealing with successful modem connections with full bluetooth enabled devices and Mac laptops. Wherein lies another problem since BB does not have full bluetooth connectivity. The point here though is that it IS possible to use external mobile devices as a modem with Mac laptops. The question is... will the BB 7100 be one of them? Any suggestions?

I don't think it will work:
There are no Mac modem drivers for the BB, and the BB Bluetooth is designed for wireless voice/headset only - not for data transfer.

I don't think you are going to get it to work with a Mac.
