Are you supposed to be able to view these with a blackberry straight out of the box? Everytime I get an email with a .pps attachement, I can never find an option to open attachment. Is there some setting I need to initialize or third party application to install?

Can't open PPS, only PPT. PPS is a slideshow view. If you get a PPT, you can see the outline of the presentation, but not the graphical view. As I recall, there's some third-party software out there that will shrink down the presentation so that you can see a graphic of the slide, but don't remember who makes it...

I can view powerpoint presentations on my 8700c in outline or slideshow mode. We are running the latest version of BES.

We have people on BES that have been upgraded to lastest but still have some customers who are unable to open .ppt files. one i particular is an 8700 that has had an OS reload. Any suggestions?

I don't know if it's just the 8703e (vzw - bes) but I've never had any issues reading ppt or pps files in the full graphical mode.

just confirm once that they are not sent from Vista. From what I know, the 2007 version may have an issue with BB desktop view.
