Please Login to Remove!

Hello all,

I'm new to the whole blackberry thing, i just bought on from ebay and i'm not sure how to use it. My question is this, The black berry i have is a 7100t it used to be used for T-Mobile but it's unlocked, so i'm using it for Cingular. My girlfriend is trying to send me picture from her phone, but they are not coming through on my black berry, other peopole have tried as well and still nothing. I am able to get text messages fine. Is there some type of setting that i need to change? and my second question is where cani get my hands on a .pdf version of the literature for the 7100? if someone would please help me or email me i would really appreciate it.

Text messages and multimedia messages are different. I know on a normal phone you need to have an MMS (multimedia messaging system) package added to your account to be able to send/recieve. I'm not even sure if the BBs can recieve MMS but if they can you will need an MMS plan.

I have the 7100 with Nextel and my phone has MMS, SMS, PMS and etc... If you have Multi Messaging(MMS) click on you wheel and see if it says Retrieve. If you have Retrieve click it and than slide the wheel dial down to Current or Table(i forget which is the last option)and click on you wheel. you should see the arrows start to retrieve your info.

Well this is pretty easy if you think about it.. A MMS or multi Media Message is just like a txt with a pic or something attached to it.. Our blackberries cannot receive these but just have your girl send a MMS to your email address that your BB receives email on and you will be able to open the pic just like our phones do..

7250/Verizon here....I have been able to receive txt/pic messages from my sister but her phone is on Verizon also. I believe if your on different networks that it might not come through. I havent tested this with someone off Verizon and sending a txt/pic message.

As for the .pdf documention...goto www.blackberry.net and you can find the support documentation for your model.
