Default Newbie Question re: Passwords

Please Login to Remove!

Hi:
My company forces a password on my blackberry. Any tricks for by passing this? Sorry if this has been asked before, a new Blackberry 7130 user (enterprise).

If they are forcing it via the company BES, then you're out of luck.

Must be as when I go into security settings and into General Setting where you set / modify password. It says enabled and doesn't give me the option to disable.

Any other hacks that can be applied?

No by-passing it. Even it you removed the policy from your BlackBerry, the server would reapply it.

Yep, our company does the same thing. Fortunately, I was able to set the Security Timeout to 20 minutes vs the 5 minutes they had set so at least I'm not typing in the password every time I look at my BB.

I'm not sure if this setting was overlooked by the BES admin or if it cannot be disabled via a policy.
