| Is it the time or time zone that won't change?
AFAIK, when supported, the carriers send a time zone adjusted time signal, not UT.
TZ processing is one of those recurring nightmares in the PDA world. Say you are in EST and you are going to the West coast next week. You set an appt for 1300. That appt is in the BB as 1800 UT. You land and decide to just change the TZ. All of a sudden, that appt now appears as 1000 PST. Plus, if you are set to get the time off the network, you'll be back a further 3 hours. There are so many TZ ignorant phones out there that the carriers simply send the local time.
TZ in appt only works when the appt is set and the participants are not travelling. |
