Question Enterprise Activation: Address Book database error

Please Login to Remove!

Gents,

I just rolled out (17) new T-Mobile BB 7105T's to users in my organization. We are running BES 4.0 pointing to my Exchange 2003 server.

While going through the Enterprise Activation, almost all of my devices gave me an error at around 99% complete that stated something to the effect of "Error with Address Book Database". It gives you the option to click "Ok".

Now, if you look at my users Address Book - everything is there, with no issues... Email, Calendar, Contacts, etc, everything syncs with no issues.

Is this a non-issue? Did I setup BES incorrectly? Anyone see this before?

Thanks,

Mayor111

Default

We actually came across the same error with our 72500 and 7130 blackberries. We discovered that if a contact in Outlook doesn't have a name, for example it just has an email address, the Blackberry won't bring it over during the sync. And that's why we got that message. I don't know if this is the case all the time, but we noticed that was one thing all of those people that received that message had in common. I hope that helped!

Talking

IT222,

You are 100% correct. I just looked and everyone that received that error has a non-named contact in their Outlook Contacts list.

YOU DA MAN!

Thanks,
