Default Os 4.1 Bug???

Please Login to Remove!

Okay I searched and couldn't find an answer to this. I upgraded my wife's 7100t from T-Mo to OS 4.1 and there is only one thing I can't get to work. When I go to do a new profile exception for a custom ring tone, I won't work. I get a red line through the profile exception and can't select it. Any ideas?

Thanks

Unhappy

I had problems with Java exceptions with 4.1, couldn't get anything but the default theme to work. really strange. redownloaded and upgraded a couple of times and finally gave up, went back to 4.0 and it all works the way it should. not sure I was going to get all the advantages of the new os anyway - not really a "power user" just a techno dork.

Try it this way. Go to your address book. Click on the address file you are wanting to add the ring tone to and select edit. Once in the edit page, select "add custom phone tone" and you should be good to go.

Default Custom Tones Not Working

I have been having the same issue without any resolve. All my exceptions, added through the address book, have a red line through the selection box. No one else has expressed any problems or solutions online anywhere I have searched. This has been the only referrence I can find.

I have a BB 7105t with OS upgraded to 4.10.256. They were actually working when I first upgraded and started setting them. But now they do not. I thought that maybe one of the custom tones I was using was the problem so I deleted them all. But no resolution.

Any help anyone has would be appreciated.

Are you using a third-party theme? Try changing back to the default theme.

Default ringtones hit and miss

I'm running 4.1 and the appied ringtones are hit and miss either way.
if appied to number or applied as exception calls from the same number will have different rings.
i have no clue why. nice feature when it works.
anyone else have this happen?

No Third Party Themes - Just what came with the OS Upgrade. The three Themes I have are "BB insight - List" "BB insight - icon" and "T-Mobile." I don't know which one would be considered "default." I have tried all three and have the most "success" with "BB-insight - List." I'll give it a try and see if the "success" continues consistently.

New Handheld Software for 7100 - 4.1.0.300 (StarHub) - Chinese Language Support!

Try upgrading to .300 and see if it resolves the issue.

I've found the Orange mobile theme works with OS 4.1 as well. I've had problems with almost every other one though.
