Question 7105t Browser Question

Please Login to Remove!

Okay, I'm sorry if this has been posted or answered before, but I'm new to BB and the board (less than 1 week).

I have a question regarding my browser. After I did the Enterprise Activation, a 2nd browser icon was diplayed on my home screen. I now have 1 icon that looks like a globe and is labeled "Browser", and a 2nd icon that looks like a globe with what I think is Big Ben (clock, not football) next to it andit is labeled "BlackBerry Bowser."

What is the difference, if there is one between these, and are they both need?

Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated!

Keith

I am assuming that your Blackberry is hooked up through a BES if you had to do an Enterprise Activation. Most likely, the Blackberry Browser is a browser that is run through your corporate lan. Depending on what the settings are, you may receive better service when using the BB browser. Our BB browser uses our Internet caching servers, so it does run a little faster than the standard browser. But it is subject to the same restrictions that apply to our in house computer users. For example, filtering software blocks any attempt to go to a site that has games.
