No games or such, only charging on syncing with a PIM. You can add applications however

Would I then not need the Verizon Modem Tethering plan? Would sharkmodem just use normal data? Same high speed?

Thanks...

VZW wants 15 bucks a month to use their plan, but shark modem is about 35 bucks. I live in a 1X area (no edvo). I use wheni am in a pinch and there is no wifi or hard lan. Have been able to conect @ at dailup speeds (sub 45k). Have not tryied it in a evdo area yet.

Ok, but is the 35 bucks a one time fee? or is that monthly? additionaly, when you use shark modem, does that just use normal VZ data in the BB unlmtd plan? or is it billed extra?

thanks..

Does SharkModem connect as an analog modem, to another dial line ? or via wireless Internet as a WAP for the laptop ?

Sorry it $35 one time.
And it basicly routes web thru your laptop usb & oout on your BB via your data conection. You can down load a demo to try it out....
http://www.mobishark.com/home.htm

I don"t use it a full time internet access for my laptop, just as a fallback...

The question:
Does mobileshark allow you to work around the $15 tethering fee?

I found my BB USB cable is a veritable all-in-wonder. It's the same cable for my BB, mp3 player, digital camera and wifes phone. I have tried to plug into my kids heads to get them to behave, but to no avail.
