Does 8700r compatible with???

If I get my 8700r unlocked, and using in Hong Kong (Vodafone Smartone). Am I able to use their web client, in the sense of sending and receiving Emails, internet browsing and Pin to Pin? Full data access in other words...

Please tell me if there's anyone know the answer...

DrChillax 03-30-2006 01:27 AM

if it's unlocked properly, then yes there should be no issues using the data network.

If the device is unlocked, plug in your Vodafone HK SIM and request the service books or have it pushed to you and you should be good to go.

Question

"request the service books or have it pushed to you" I am sorry but what is that mean?

"ok goto settings, then options, then look for host routing tables then open that , goto the name of the service your usnig thats in BOLD and click the wheel in and goto regester now, it takes sumtimes 10 secs and somother times like 10mins hope this helped.."

Ya, probably, you'd need the Rogers service books in order to talk over Rogers' network.

I think Rogers will do it for you for $125 (I would assume CAD). Do a quick search.

I just spoke to 2 different Rogers representatives in Tech Support, unfortunately, they do not unlock those device anymore. If you guys know anyone can unlock them with a resonable price, please reply, it's quite urgent. Thanks in advance.

finch 03-30-2006 06:18 PM

Global unlock through Robbers is $250 try Bongo Wireless www.bongowireless.com they charge $80 as far as I know nobody has been able to unlock the 8700r your better off tracking down an 8700c they seem to be the easier of the 8700 devices to unlock.

Which service provider Blackberry 8700 can be 100% unlock?

takeshi 03-31-2006 01:44 PM

If you want a guarantee you need to purchase the device unlocked. Unlocked devices definitely carry a price premium.
