Default Odd profile question

I have a Cingular 8700. I am usually on call 24x7. I'd like two main profiles: one for daytime and evenings when I'll take almost any call, and another for night time when I only want real emergencies getting through. I really, really don't want a phone call at 3:00 in the morning saying "call me when you get in" waking me up.

I'd love to have two voicemail messages based on time of day, but I can't seem to figure a way for cingular to allow this.

I haven't been able to figure a profile to allow only emergencies in. If I set Do Not Disturb on, I can't seem to get anything through.

"Level 1 Messages" seems to include both pages as well as voicemail notices. Is there a way to exclude voice mail notices from the Level 1? Then my message could say "If it's an emergency, press 5 to page me, otherwise leave a message."

I don't much want a really long greeting trying to explain what to do at different hours of the day; it would be tedious to listen to.

Does anyone here have any creative ideas?

many thanks,

-jk
